After the success of “Salute to Koes Plus” the concert (2005) and “Salute to Guruh Soekarno Putra” the concert (2014), Erwin Gutawa is now reviving “Salute” the concert with a new packaging, branded as “Konser Salute”. “Konser Salute” is an appreciation concert to and from Indonesian musicians and this February, “Konser Salute” will be held to celebrate three influential women who have sparked and created their marks on the Indonesian music scene through legendary songs they created.
They are Melly Goeslaw, Dewiq, and Dee Lestari. “Konser Salute to 3 Female Songwriters: Melly Goeslaw, Dewiq, Dee Lestari” promises an interesting spectacle with high-quality stage and visuals as well as the opportunity to sing along with the great works of these three female songwriters which Indonesian music fans are surely familiar with.
Around 30 songs (10 from each songwriter) will be specially performed by nine Indonesian male singers, best of the best from each generation, namely Afgan, Armand Maulana, Harvey Malaihollo, Once Mekel, Rendy Pandugo, Sandhy Sondoro, Vidi Aldiano, LIB3RO, Reza Rahardian, and of course with magnificent music from the Erwin Gutawa Orchestra as the host. Erwin Gutawa, musician, composer, songwriter, conductor, orchestrator, music producer. He is responsible for Indonesia’s best and most memorable music concerts, including Chrisye’s ‘Sendiri’ (1994), ‘Badai Pasti Berlalu’ (2000), ’Dekade’ (2003); Krisdayanti’s ’KD’ (2001), ‘KD 1530’ (2005), ‘TRAYA’ (2015); ‘Ruth Sahanaya’ (2005); ‘3 Diva’ (2006); Rossa’s ‘Persembahan Cinta’ (2008); and Afgan’s ‘Dari Hati’ (2015). He has won various awards, including the 33 AMI (Indonesian Music Award) awards, and collaborated with world-class orchestras, such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra, The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, and Synchron Stage Orchestra in Vienna.
